Here you can learn about who we are and where we are from. Here we introduce you to our family. And here we speak about our vision.

We are 60 and 70 years old, since 1995 married and today we are both retired. Before that, Dorothee was secretary to the president of a Berlin university, and Guenter worked in the field of finances and controlling in the building and construction industry.

We have a large family: the two of us have eight children alltogether -  five boys and three girls - and twelfe grandchildren - five boys and seven girls. Except for two, all our children are married, more or less worldwide.

We cannot and will not believe that we are part of a generation responsible for our beautiful planet being unable to carry the highly developed life any longer that it has brought forth during the last three billion years .

In 1998 we decided to move to the Island of Kos in the Aegean Sea, and to live there for a while. Kos belongs to the Greek islands of the Dodekanes and is situated north-west of Rhodes. Here we lead a life without hustle and bustle, and enjoy the natural friendliness of island's inhabitants.

For the first time we lived in a nice little - rented - House right in the middle of a large Greek family. Since 2001 we are living in a new builded house at the margin of Kos-city with a wonderful view over the sea to the turkish south-coastline.

We have many friends, especially because of our membership in the german-speaking club.

Our spiritual family are the seven million Baha'is all over the world. They can be found in almost every country of the earth today; and here in Greece as well.

In a world where the influence of the old religions' institutions is decreasing more and more, and where many dubious movements emerge as substitutes for religion, the Baha'i Faith - as the youngest world religion - is like a melting pot for all those who do not see reason and belief as two contradictory things, but - in their connection with the Word of God newly revealed for today - as the spiritual fundaments of a new world order.

On the contrary, we understand the many crises humanity is facing today in a way similar to what psychologists see in the behaviour of a young person in the middle of puberty: as the last chaotic reactions before reaching maturity. We are convinced that for entering its - then global - age of maturity, humantity is in need of guidance through a faith renewed.

"That one indeed is a man who, today, dedicateth himself to the service of the entire human race. [...] The earth is but one country, and mankind its citizens."

On the following pages we would like to share with you what our vision is exactly about. We invite you to join us in a world view that gives new hope and confidence. We are also looking forward to exchange ideas with you via e-mail.

Until those pages will be developed, we enter communication with you through access to a statement prepared by the Baha'i International Community (BIC), accredited NGO by the United Nations:

"Who is writing the future?"
